Painting - 30th September 2011

In the painting session the kids learned how to mix colours using only the three primary colours. This is a very handy skill to have, not to mention it makes painting a more cost effective activity because you only need three colours, and maybe a black and a white...
The kids were given colour wheels to help them understand colour mixing and created a reference for the kids to use later in the session.

The kids had a great time creating new colours!

Gracies wonderful turtle painting in the making.

The kids were given free range with what they wanted to paint on their canvas.

Serious work this painting stuff. :)

Drawing session - 30th September

Well the holiday program has finished for the October break. Here are some pics from the drawing session.

In this class I showed the kids a few different elements to cartoon style drawing.

The youngest of the bunch.

The lovely Elissa checking out Ben's work

The kids were given worksheets to teach them different ways of drawing facial features

They also got instructional sheets teaching them how to draw different animals and other objects.

Working hard...

This is me.

To finish the session we played Mr. Squiggle on my white board.

Alex and her favourite drawings from the session.

Tomorrow I will post pics from the painting session we did later that day.
